Hi! I'm Qrystal with a Q,
I would like you to get to know me a bit better before we dive into the therapy. First and foremost, I believe that real change begins through genuine human connection. I don’t work as a blank slate; I show up as my full, authentic self, so you can look forward to some wonky nature metaphors, dark humour and my cat showing up to say meow sometimes! Ultimately, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported for exactly who you are.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, including those navigating recovery from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, or body dysmorphia. I understand firsthand how complex, misunderstood, and isolating these struggles can be as I have struggled with an eating disorder and other mental health issues for over a decade and came out the other side bruised, tired, still struggling sometimes, but happy to be alive again. I truly know what it feels like to try to pull yourself from the depths of a seemingly never-ending abyss, and I want to be right there with you as a guiding hand so you can find your way forward.
My work extends beyond eating disorders to include, but is not limited to, concerns such as addiction, OCD, anxiety, depression, post-MVA trauma, living with a neurodivergent brain, and all the “just life stuff” that can feel heavy and overwhelming. I strive to operate my practice in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed manner that affirms and welcomes all identities. I have experience supporting queer, trans/non-binary individuals, people of colour, immigrants, and neurodivergent clients.
Alongside counselling, my background as a Registered Massage Therapist has given me a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection. I see healing as something that involves both body and mind, a process of coming home to yourself with compassion and awareness.
I do this work because it’s meaningful to me. It’s a privilege to deeply understand and witness people reclaim their stories, reconnect with their body, mind, spirit, and rediscover themselves. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to walk with you, human to human, heart to heart.
